Summer Wish List!

Today I've made this wish list of 11 things that I really want this summer. I go away on holiday with my girls soon and then I have a festival too so most of this is holiday/festival gear that I'm really excited about!
So here we go:

1. This first item I can't actually find anywhere that sell them at the minute. Forever 21 used to but they're all sold out. They are simply just lace halternecks that you wear under vests and t-shirts so you can just see the lace coming out under the top. I think these are super cute and I can't wait until more shops stock them. If you do know anywhere that sells them, let me know!

2. The next thing is the MAC Lipstick in Heroine. It's such a lovely deep purple and I've read loads of really good reviews about it and I love the colour. I think it would look really good on a night out. And this is £15.

3. The next thing I came across in Claire's because they have such a wide range of festival accessories at the moment. So this the Brown Dreamcatcher and Feather Arm Bracelet and it's £5.50. I think this goes on the top of your arm so the feathers dangle down. This just screams festival fashion and I love unusual jewellery with a passion so this is perfect.

4. I couldn't really find a real site for this item, but I found most of them are being sold on eBay. These are Leg Chains and there's an elastic that goes around your thigh, under whatever you're wearing and the chains fall down your thigh from there. I think these look so cute and I can totally see this being big this summer, like body chains.

5. The next items are 3 Barry M Gelly Nail Polishes from Boots. This is the pastel set including the colours Rose Hip, Huckleberry and Sugar Apple. I love Barry M nail polishes and these are the perfect colours for summer when you have a tan. These are also a steal at £3.99 each.

6. This is the Daisy Garland Headwrap and I'm not going to be able to get enough of flower crowns this summer. I think they're a staple festival piece, the bigger the better. But this daisy one from Claire's is quite subtle and I think it'll look really cute with coloured hair like mine. It is also only £10.

7. This is the Silver Head Chain from Urban Outfitters. Just like the leg chain I think these will become a lot more popular in summer and they're perfect for my middle parting now. I think they give the whole outfit a boho look which is perfect for festivals. This is only £12 too.

8. I really need to invest in a good shaver. I usually use disposable ones because they're cheaper but they're just not doing a good enough job anymore. So I found this one from Superdrug and it's the Gillette Venus Embrace Razor. It's £7.49 with multiple blades that last for ages. So I want this to keep my legs stubble free during the hotter months.

9. This playsuit is the Sienna Lace Plunge Back Chiffon Playsuit from Boohoo. I think the colour is perfect for summer and the lacy low back makes it more formal. But I also think this will look good on holiday. And it's only £20.

10. These shoes are my all time favourites right now. They're the Abbie Multi-Buckle & Strap Chunky Flats in white from Boohoo. I love these chunky shoes so much and I can't wait until I own a pair! They're only £25 too.

11. And finally these cute sunglasses are the Preppy Mirror Sunglasses in black from Urban Outfitters. Rounded sunglasses have definitely grown on me this summer as I wasn't too keen on them before. But I fell in love with these sunnies as soon as I saw them. And they are only £16.

So this is a wishlist of some of the things I think will look great this summer and I can't wait to purchase some of them.

Spring and Summer Trends!

This is Week 4 of the #bloggersdoitbetter Challenge and the topic is Trends. So I decided to make a wishlist/how to wear about 3 of this Spring and Summer's hottest trends.

The first trend is Metallic/Holographic

I think a hint of metallic in an outfit makes a lot of different but I also think it's important not to over do it by wearing bold colours or lots of metallic together.

1. These are the Abbie Multi-Buckle and Strap Chunky Flats from Boohoo. I am absolutely in love with these kinds of chunky flats or heels. I think they look perfect with boyfriend jeans or a dress and this holographic design makes them the perfect staple piece in an outfit. These are a steal at £25.

2. This clutch is the Ciara Metallic Envelope Clutch Bag also from Boohoo. I think wearing this with a LBD and a pair of plain shoes would look perfect. It also has a wrist strap so you don't drop it on a night out! This is sold at just £12.

3. This necklace is the Geo Cut Out Triangle Collar from Miss Selfridge. I think this has a futuristic feel to it and fits in perfectly with this trend. It's definitely a statement piece that can bring a whole outfit together. This was only £10.

4. This skirt is the Ekata Hologram A-Line Skirt from Miss Guided. I love this cute little skirt and I think it matches really well to the block black top. It's definitely something to make heads turn and would look great under the lights on a night out! This is being sold at £24.99.

5. This dress is the Oyster Link Metallic Oversized Dress by Rare at Topshop. I think this also fits in with the pastel trend because it's a really cute pale pink colour. This is a really girly dress and I think it'll look great with a pair of strappy heels for spring/summer. This is £36.

6. And lastly these shoes are the Melisa Holographic Platform Heels from Miss Guided. I think these are the most subtle holographic from this trend and if you're a little unsure about this trend then I think these would be perfect to try them out and see if you like how they look. I think these could look good with anything because they're a really simple cut and colour. These are only £32.99.

The next trend is Pretty Pastels

I absolutely adore this trend with the ice cream colours and simple cuts.

1. This is the Luiza Pastel Dogtooth Metal Belt Playsuit from Boohoo. I've fallen in love with the dogtooth print and this pretty pastel purple colour is stunning. Perfect for the Spring and Summer sun. I also love the scallopped detail on the shorts and the belt that accentuates your waist. This is only £25.

2. This watch is the Casio Ladies Wristwatch from American Apparel. I love the pale mint colour of the strap and the simpleness of the clock face. I think it'll look really good with summer with a tan. This is a more expensive piece of £55.

3. These are the Juju Maxi Low Pale Pink Jelly Shoes from Office. I love Jelly Shoes so much and I think these will be so cute in summer to wear with a swing dress or cute cami top. You can also get them in other pastel colours too! These are only £20.

4. This bag is the Mint Green Raised Flower Clutch from New Look. I think this bag is really pretty and I really like the daisy detail on it. Looks very Spring and looks like you can fit quite a lot in. This bag is only £12.99.

5. This jumper is the Flafica Eyelash Knit Long Sleeve Cropped Jumper from Miss Guided. If it's still quite chilly wherever you're from. like it is in England, then I think this jumper is perfect for that kind of weather. It's cropped so you could wear it with high waisted jeans or tuck it into a cute skater skirt. This is being sold at £19.99.

6. These polishes are the Model's Own Fruit Pastel Nail Polishes. These are so cute and I've always loved the Model's Own bottles but these are even better because they're scented. Each bottle has a different scent that corresponds to the colour/name of each varnish. These are super cute and the perfect pastel colours. And they are only £4 each from Boots.

And the last trend is Bright Holiday

I love all the bright clothes that are on trend right now and can't wait to wear some of these brights in summer.

1. This is the Blake Floral Strappy Skater Dress from Boohoo. I think the print on this is stunning and really summery. The cut at the neckline is also really different and interesting but shows off your shoulders really well. This is being sold at £25.

2. These are the Fluro Yellow Retro Sunglasses from River Island. I love these neon yellow sunglasses because with a tan I think these will look amazing. These are also only £10!

3. This is the Vantia Tropical Print Chiffon Kimono from Miss Guided. I've wanted a kimono for so long because I think it makes a good light jacket for spring and summer without being too bulky but it's still something to wear over a top. I love the print on this and the tassels that fall down the bottom. This is £24.99.

4. This is the Harmony Multi- Coloured Neon Visor Necklace from Prettylittlething.com. I love the mix of colours in this necklace and I think it would definitely be a staple piece to an outfit and it'll look amazing in the sun. This is only £10.

5. This is the Lily Ribbon Detail Skater Dress from Boohoo. I absolutely adore this bright yellow colour at the minute and I think it'll be really big in summer. This dress is so pretty and demure so it would be perfect for a garden or family party. This is also only £25.

6. Lastly this is the Charade Neon Orange Patent Envelope Clutch Bag from Miss Guided. I think this would look good with a black or white dress and even orange shoes to add another extra pop of colour. I think this really stands out as it's neon. And you can buy it for £19.99.

So these are some of my favourite SS14 trends and I can't wait to see more of them develop through the year!

Glossybox (Spoilers!)

So this is my second Glossybox and I'm quite happy with what I've gotten. In the last box I only really use the Mememe Highlighter and dry shampoo, so I was a bit let down from my first box but I'm quite impressed with this box!
This month there was high anticipation on which brand they had collaborated with and I did have a sneaky feeling it might've been Superdrug because it's the 50th Anniversary of Superdrug.

In this box we got seven products, two of them being bonus products.
The first one is a Superdrug exclusive.

It's the Solait Illuminating Facial Bronzing Cream and it's a full size product that is sold for £2.99. It's to give your face a healthy looking, luminous glow and I'm actually really happy I got this. My face is so much paler than the rest of my body and it looks ridiculous without a lot of make-up on so I think this will be good to give my face a nice healthy glow. It says it lasts 2-4 hours and that you can just wash it off whenever you want.

The next product is the Rimmel London Scandaleyes Retro Glam Mascara. I've used this mascara a before and I really really like the way it made my lashes look. So I'm really happy that I got another one of these. This is full size and you can buy it for £6.99 but with this you also get a barcode that gets you £2 off Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation in store which is something that I actually need so I'll be using that.

The next product is the 2True PRO 3D Candy Nail Art. This is the full size product and you can buy it for £3. I got the colours black and purple which I think will be interesting. I've never tried this 3D stuff before so hopefully it'll look good.

This product I wasn't so excited about as I already have millions. The bun is also black which won't match my hair but I'll probably still use it because you shouldn't be able to see it underneath anyways. This is full size and you can get it for £3.99.

This next product is the I Love Cosmetics Strawberries and Milkshake Shimmer and Shine Lipgloss. I don't own that many lipglosses and I haven't tried this out yet so I hope it looks good. It also smells really really good. This was a full size product and you can buy it for £1.29.

This is the first bonus sample product. It's the Garnier Oil Beauty Lotion and it's to leave your skin feeling hydrated and softer. This is just a sample size and the full size product will be £4.99.

And lastly is a perfume sample of GHOST Fragrances in Eclipse. It's quite a fruity floral scent and I think it'll be really nice in for summer. This is just the sample size and the original costs £33.

So overall I think this box is pretty impressive in that there are more products than usual and I think I'll be able to use most of them as well.
I've seen lots of mixed reviews about this but I'm pretty happy with my selection of products.

Do you get a GlossyBox? If so did you like this months?

April Favourites!

So today I woke up with every intention to film my favourites video today but I guess my body had other plans. I've got a horrible cold and my voice was sore and I looked all washed out so I decided to write a blog post from my bed instead.

So to kick off my favourites is this skincare product.

This is the Simple Smoothing Facial Scrub and I've been using this so much recently that I've ran out. I have dry skin around my nose and this has been a god send for me, it works really well, and yeah it doesn't smell the best (abit artificial) but for me I don't really mind. I'll definitely be getting more of this this month.

Next is a hair product.

This is the Tresemme Instant Fresh Dry Shampoo.   I got this from my first ever Glossybox and I was pleasantly surprised. And I hate to admit it but I've used this a lot this month. It's been an extremely busy month and sometimes I haven't had time to even wash my hair but this is my saviour. I've used some pretty bad dry shampoos over my time but this one is great. It does get rid of grease whilst I'm in college, it smells nice and this bottle is small and so it fits nicely in handbags.

The next thing is another hair product,

This is the Body Shop Ginger Anti-Dandruff Shampoo. The flakes in the hair around my face was starting to look too noticeable and even after I'd tried Head and Shoulders it still wasn't getting any better and I found it hard to go out without a hat on. So I researched into this and couldn't find a bad thing about it. So I bought it and I still can't find anything wrong with it! I know some people don't like the smell of ginger and I thought I wouldn't like it but it's not over powering and your hair doesn't smell like ginger the next day either. I cannot recommend this enough if you have a flaky scalp!

My next product is a lip product.

This is the Rimmel London Color Rush Balm in the colour Keep Mauving. This was new this month because I wanted a change in colour and even though this looks quite brown it actually isn't.
It's actually a really nice pink colour but it's not very bright. It's so hydrating and the colour stays on my lips all day. I'm really impressed with this and I really want some more in different colours.
(They also smell like Mini Eggs!!)

My next thing is a BB cream.

This is the Rimmel London BB Cream Matte in Light. I've been wearing this a lot this month because I couldn't really be bothered with my foundation. This is apparently much better for your skin and I've had less breakouts because it's so light. The problem is that because I haven't seen the sun for a while here this colour is a bit too dark for me, even though it's Light. So if you have really pale skin I wouldn't suggest this because there isn't much choice in different shades.

My next is an eyeshadow.

This is the L'Oreal Paris Color Appeal Platinum in Raw Copper. I've only recently started wearing this colour and now it's my go to colour. I think I've been wearing it more because I think it looks amazing on green eyes and I think it matches the colour of my tips pretty well. I don't know if they still sell this product/colour so I've just linked whatever I can find.

My next thing is a nail polish.

This is the Revlon Top Speed Nail Varnish in Cloud. I think I got this in a set for Christmas which is why I can't find it in Boots or Superdrug. But this is a really pretty blue/grey and I think it suits the pastel trend at the moment so I've been wearing it a lot of my nails this month.

And lastly is a highlighter.

This is the Mememe Beat the Blues Highlighter in Pearl Pink that I got from my Glossybox. I'd had my eye on this for ages and I'm so happy that I got it in my box! It glides on so easily and it's such a lovely shimmer. The perfect liquid highlighter for me!

And they're all my April Favourites! What are some of yours?

Week 3: Brights VS Neutrals

Welcome to the 3rd week of the #BloggersDoItBetter Challenge! This week's topic is Bloggers do Bright and Neutral better, and I'll have to be honest I panicked a lot at this because I had no idea to write about. I don't really think of things as bright or neutral but now I've thought about it I have things that are similar but in different colours. So this week is going to be Bright VS Neutral with some of my things.

The first one is lipsticks. This was difficult for me because I really LOVE a bright lip, I think it makes the whole look come together. I also usually wear monochrome clothes so a bright lip adds a great pop of colour to an outfit. So it was hard to choose between my favourite bright lip but at the minute it's the Maybelline Color Sensational in the colour Shocking Coral.

It's such an amazing colour and I'm never usually into pinks but this is more of a coral colour so I thought I'd give it a go. It's also really pigmented, the swatch is only one stripe of the lipstick and it stays on for ages (it's actually really hard to get off!)
So the VS Neutral product is also a Maybelline Colorsensational Popstick in the colour Tropical Pink. The colours look really similar but this one is actually see through when you look at it. I go on about this lipstick so much but it's because it's more of a tint than anything else which is why I think it's more neutral than the one above.

As you can see from this swatch it's barely even there but it leaves a really nice hint of pink on your lips. I wear this a lot more casually rather than on a night out but it does last ages.

The next item is heels. I've only really recently become slightly obsessed with heels but it wasn't too difficult to find a bright and a neutral.

These bright red shoes are probably my favourite heels ever. They weren't expensive at all and the colour is so stunning. They're also the comfiest heels I've ever had because the platform is so big that your foot isn't actually bent that much. These also match most of the monochrome clothes that I wear on a night out.

And then I found these heels tucked away in my wardrobe. I think I got given these as a hand me down but they're originally from Miss Selfridge. Even though it doesn't look it, these are pretty tall but they're still really comfy. They're a lovely nude colour with cute little bows on the front.

The last thing I found were these swing tops. For the bright one I used a top that I've bought recently from Select. It was only £6 and the material is a really thin top in mint green. I'm completely obsessed with this colour for spring and this is probably one of the brightest pieces of clothing that I own. I'm so pleased with this purchase.

And compared to this I found a similar style top but this one is black velvet instead. I've worn this top so many times because it's so easy to pair with everything and it's easy to wear casually or on a night out. It was so inexpensive and worth the price for all the times I've worn it and it's become a staple piece in my wardrobe.

So those are my Bright VS Neutral products. I've realised that you will always need the neutrals in your wardrobe to match all the bright things you buy and vice versa. I can't wait to have more bright pieces of clothes though for spring and summer because I feel I don't have enough. I'll have to venture out to orange, pink and maybe even yellow!

Do you prefer brights or neutrals?

Where have I been?!

Gaaah it's been almost two weeks! I'm really sorry for the lack of posting but this is the final stretch for college and I've been revising for all my exams.
I also had four different deadlines this week for coursework so I've been stressing out a lot more than usually and any spare time I did get I spent sleeping.
I will definitely do a post about what I've been doing soon because my deadlines are over and obviously tomorrow is the Bloggers Do It Better Challenge so stay tuned for that!

Anyways I'll check back in VERY soon!
