NEW VIDEO!! JustSarahsVlogs

I finally uploaded a new video onto my channel. The wifi here in my student house is awful but I'm going to try my hardest to make it better because m last video too about 600 minutes to upload so I had to leave it overnight.
The newest video is simply just an update of my time over the summer and a few little extra things that I haven't mentioned before. Here it is:

Hope you enjoy and keep your eyes peeled for more videos and posts coming soon!

Spring Lookbook

So after quite a while with no videos I finally filmed and uploaded a new one!! I absolutely love lookbooks, they're my favourite thing to film and also watch on YouTube. So I decided to do 3 spring outfits for the upcoming sunny months.
Here in England it's been warmer than usual so that's made me want to dig out the shorts and sunglasses so if it's not that warm where you are yet you could always put jackets or tights on with these outfits.
I thought I would go through my different outfits and where I got my clothes from and stuff in my blog instead of on YouTube so I can explain better.

Outfit 1- Casual

So for this first outfit all of the clothing is from New Look. A lot of the clothes in this are from New Look because there's a store at home and also where I live at uni, so I buy most of my new clothes from there.
The top is an off the shoulder one, which is a style I've always loved! I think it's a nice change to just an ordinary top and a bit more spring/summery because it shows off your shoulders. I didn't think I would like the stripes as much as I do, as I bought a second top like this (2 for £12) which was black but I still wear this one more.
The jeans I got on offer at New Look, I think they were only £7. They didn't originally have the cuts in the knees, I did them myself but I think it just makes them look a bit different and edgier.
And finally the shoes are my favourite things. I wear them most days because they are one of the comfiest pair of shoes I've ever owned. They also match all of my wardrobe which is handy and I love the 'Timbaland' feel of them even though I payed way less. They're pretty worn now but I think it makes them look a lot better.

Outfit 2- Spring Playsuit

This playsuit has become one of my new favourite outfits, I love everything about it. I think the pattern is very summery, whilst also being my favourite colour black. And the fit of the playsuit is great, with a tight upper half and then flippy shorts for the bottoms. I really like the top of the playsuit too and how it ties round my neck because I try not to show my chest off the best I can. And I just think the back is really pretty too. And the best part is that this was only £12 from Forever21 which I think is a bargain. I'll definitely be getting my money worth from this outfit.
The shoes from New Look I've had for a while now and I think they're great. I don't like wearing really big heels as I'm tall enough as it is so these are good because the heel isn't huge and I don't end up towering over my friends. They're also really comfy, and can wear these all night with no problems.
And finally I can't wait to wear this hat more often over spring and summer. It was a bargain from Primark and it just reminds me of sunhats that you wear on holiday or something you could wear to a festival.

Outfit 3-

And the top in this outfit is actually new, this was the first time I'd worn it. I'd seen them in pictures online for ages and always wanted one of the tops with the slits up the sides. I think they look great with shorts underneath or even leggings in the colder weather. They just scream festival fashion so that's why I bought this one from New Look.
The shorts are from George at Asda, which is an English supermarket but I so love some of the clothes from George. These are white denim with small buttons on the sides and I think they match this top pretty well.
And finally the shoes are another pair that I wear daily. I usually wear these on a night out if I'm not wearing heels because they're a bit high but also extremely comfortable. I think they'll be great again for spring and summer when the weather stays nice.

Lastly my sunglasses that I wear with these outfits are from Afflecks which is a collection of shops in Manchester. These are the first round sunglasses I've bought but I love this style and will definitely be buying more like this.
My earrings are just a simple set of silver hoops from Dorothy Perkins I think which I wear almost daily too.
And my watch is also from Asda and I just like the plainness of it because it's just simple black and gold with a leather strap. It was also a bargain at only £8.

So that's all of my outfits for the lookbook. If you haven't seen it yet you can check it out here.
I hope you enjoyed it and I can't wait to get back to the weekly videos again!

Also a huge thanks to Serena over at Serena's Life who helped me shoot the whole thing and take all these great pictures! Go check her page out!

As always stay happy,

Boohoo Wishlist!

As you all know one of my favourite clothing stores/online stores is definitely Boohoo.com and I recently booked a girls holiday for the summer so my thoughts immediately went to summer fashion and I got really excited. So I thought I'd share with you guys my fashion inspiration for this summer.

First is the long floaty dress because I'm obsessed with these right now. I actually already bought one like this in the middle of winter so I think that's a definite problem with me. I think these would look perfect at a barbecue or even more perfect on a beach. This particular dress is the Sofia Grey Print Wide Sleeve Woven Maxi Dress which is £25. I like the fact that the sleeves and bottom of the dress are sheer, so I wouldn't be too hot in them really.

The next one along is the the white lace shirt, although I do love the shorts too, I'm just not sure what they are but I think the shirt matches well. It's the Natasha Organza Lace Shoulder Panel Oversized Shirt which is £20. I've really been loving shirts lately, baggy thin ones that would be perfect for the summer weather and for holidays.

Next is a bikini that I've absolutely fallen in love with. It's the Hawaii Push Up Tropical Print Long Line Bikini which is also £20. I love the colour and print of this bikini because it's bright and summery. I also love that it's a high waisted bikini bottoms because I think they're more elegant although it's not the best if you're looking to tan as you'll have a high line on your belly. Another thing that makes this perfect is that it's a push up bra because I'm not that comfortable with my chest but I think this would make me more confident whilst on holiday.

Lastly on the top line is a bracelet/ring. It's the Renee Floral Gem Hand Harness which is only £5. I really liked this pretty floral harness and can imagine myself wearing it for a meal out when I go on holiday. I really want to start wearing more jewellery this summer and I've been loving the boho style gold and silver jewellery.

First on the bottom line are the Rach Round Frame Sunglasses which are only £8. I feel in love with rounded frame glasses last year and so I've been looking for another pair for the summer this year too. I like these from Boohoo because they're quite different with the line going through the top. I'd love to get these or maybe some that have a thicker rim because I think they suit me better.

Next is the Lara Fringed Tassel Rucksack which is only £18. I can imagine having this at a festival this year because of the fun tassels and the practicality of having a back pack at a festival. I think a back pack would be good on holiday too if I'm going for a day out or to the beach and just for summer in general. It looks big enough to fit a lot of things in too.

Next is the Eliza Mock Croc Ankle Strap Peep-Toe Block Heels which are £30. I've been looking for some of these heels for so long. I wanted some with a block heel that weren't too high for when I went out cause I'm tall enough as is it! I also love the buckle on the ankle strap because then they will stay on my feet when I'm dancing.

And lastly is a dress that I'm not sure how it'll look on me but I love how it looks on the model. It's the Mariah Woven Short Sleeve Column Maxi Dress and it's only £15. I think this would look really nice for a barbeque or something like that with a nice pair of boots. I think it would also look great at a festival with a nice pair of combat boots and a ruck sack.

All of these things got me so excited for summer/holiday/festival and I can't wait to be able to buy all these clothes and can't wait for the sun to start shining again!

Which of these is your favourite?

Bloggers Do Sunshine Better!

I'm so late with this post because I had two exams this Monday and Tuesday so I was cramming in as much revision as possible! I decided to do something different with this weeks post and link it in with my YouTube Channel JustSarahsVlogs.
So this this week I've done a video about how you can make this really easy summer t-shirt from an old one lying around (I know you all have one!)

So if you want to check the video out, here it is!

Summer Wish List!

Today I've made this wish list of 11 things that I really want this summer. I go away on holiday with my girls soon and then I have a festival too so most of this is holiday/festival gear that I'm really excited about!
So here we go:

1. This first item I can't actually find anywhere that sell them at the minute. Forever 21 used to but they're all sold out. They are simply just lace halternecks that you wear under vests and t-shirts so you can just see the lace coming out under the top. I think these are super cute and I can't wait until more shops stock them. If you do know anywhere that sells them, let me know!

2. The next thing is the MAC Lipstick in Heroine. It's such a lovely deep purple and I've read loads of really good reviews about it and I love the colour. I think it would look really good on a night out. And this is £15.

3. The next thing I came across in Claire's because they have such a wide range of festival accessories at the moment. So this the Brown Dreamcatcher and Feather Arm Bracelet and it's £5.50. I think this goes on the top of your arm so the feathers dangle down. This just screams festival fashion and I love unusual jewellery with a passion so this is perfect.

4. I couldn't really find a real site for this item, but I found most of them are being sold on eBay. These are Leg Chains and there's an elastic that goes around your thigh, under whatever you're wearing and the chains fall down your thigh from there. I think these look so cute and I can totally see this being big this summer, like body chains.

5. The next items are 3 Barry M Gelly Nail Polishes from Boots. This is the pastel set including the colours Rose Hip, Huckleberry and Sugar Apple. I love Barry M nail polishes and these are the perfect colours for summer when you have a tan. These are also a steal at £3.99 each.

6. This is the Daisy Garland Headwrap and I'm not going to be able to get enough of flower crowns this summer. I think they're a staple festival piece, the bigger the better. But this daisy one from Claire's is quite subtle and I think it'll look really cute with coloured hair like mine. It is also only £10.

7. This is the Silver Head Chain from Urban Outfitters. Just like the leg chain I think these will become a lot more popular in summer and they're perfect for my middle parting now. I think they give the whole outfit a boho look which is perfect for festivals. This is only £12 too.

8. I really need to invest in a good shaver. I usually use disposable ones because they're cheaper but they're just not doing a good enough job anymore. So I found this one from Superdrug and it's the Gillette Venus Embrace Razor. It's £7.49 with multiple blades that last for ages. So I want this to keep my legs stubble free during the hotter months.

9. This playsuit is the Sienna Lace Plunge Back Chiffon Playsuit from Boohoo. I think the colour is perfect for summer and the lacy low back makes it more formal. But I also think this will look good on holiday. And it's only £20.

10. These shoes are my all time favourites right now. They're the Abbie Multi-Buckle & Strap Chunky Flats in white from Boohoo. I love these chunky shoes so much and I can't wait until I own a pair! They're only £25 too.

11. And finally these cute sunglasses are the Preppy Mirror Sunglasses in black from Urban Outfitters. Rounded sunglasses have definitely grown on me this summer as I wasn't too keen on them before. But I fell in love with these sunnies as soon as I saw them. And they are only £16.

So this is a wishlist of some of the things I think will look great this summer and I can't wait to purchase some of them.

Hair Challenge- Plaited Fun

So this week I thought I would create my own challenge to have a different hairstyle for college every day this week. I did it a couple of weeks ago with different coloured eye shadows but I forgot to blog about it :(
Also these will be really easy hairstyles to do because I haven't got much time in the morning, so hopefully I can give you some tips on how to get this look!

So this first one I decided to bring back the plaited pigtails. I'm really into plaits this season and I sometimes put plaits in my hair after a shower to make my hair wavy when I can't be bothered doing anything else!

So this morning I woke up with naturally crazy wavy hair, so I brushed it slightly and split my hair down the middle. I then lightly started plaiting either side of my hair, not really caring if I missed a couple of bits. Once I'd got both my plaits I pulled out my fringe and then some short parts surrounding my face. I then curled them a tiny bit with my straighteners and curled my fringe away from my face to keep it out of my eyes.

Then I was done. I just pulled my plaits slightly to make them look more messy and more loose.

To vary this look you could backcomb your roots to give it a messier look or even use a cute flower headband to keep your fringe out of your eyes.
I love this look and I'll definitely be doing this again for college!

(Sorry for the bad quality pictures, it's from my iPhone)

Hope you like this new kind of post and I can't wait to do more all week!

Summer Updated

So at the start of summer I made a summer bucketlist filled with things that I wanted to do.
This is what I've done so far:
3. Keep a summer scrapbook/journal. (Love this already)
4. Movie marathons with my friends. (Harry Potter Marathon!)
6. Make someone smile. Cheesy, I know but it brightens my day. (I hope I have)
7. Stay positive. I don't want to waste my summer feeling down. (The most positive I've been!)
8. Tie dye lots! I want to buy loads of white cheap clothes from Primark and then tie dye then all. (I love how my tie dye things came out!)
9. Meet new people. I want to broaden my friends list, whether that's other bloggers or YouTuber's or just other people.(I have met some new people)
10. Shop a lot. I normally do this anyway because my birthday is in summer so I usually have money.(I've definitely shopped a lot)
15. Go to the beach. I love the beach so much but we don't particularly live close to one.(I've been once but it rained, planning to go again)
16. Start vlogging. Planning to start that soon.(I started vlogging and doing my youtube videos)

So I'm quite happy with all the things that I've done so far but why stop there?! I plan on doing loads more things with my summer!

Bikinis

I've just been to Tesco for some new bikinis because I saw their new range the other day and I was impressed. I'd been looking for a bikini with frills and things and couldn't find one that looked nice on me. But then I saw these in Tesco.

And I feel in love with them immediately.
The Pink one has tassles on the edges and I don't usually like pink but I love this hot pick colour.

And the other one is a coral colour with little detailed frills around the edges and on the cups. I love this colour so much and looks amazing with a tan.

Overall I'm really happy with both these bikinis and if your looking for new ones for your holidays, check out Tesco's range. They are amazing!

Pink top- £8
Pink bottoms- £5
Coral top- £7
Coral bottoms- £5
Which is quite good for bikinis.

30 Day Snap #6

So today I did a photoshoot with one of my friends that I hadn't seen in ages. I missed her loads so I thought I'd use her to model in my pictures for the day. It was so nice seeing her and we had a good catch up, whilst enjoying the sun and taking fun pictures.
This is one of the best ones I think:

I love this picture of Jess because it looks quite natural.
If you're interested in seeing the edited versions of these, I'll probably do a post about them tomorrow :) with all my favourites.

Summer!

So my exams are finally OVER! I'm so happy that I don't have to spend all my time revising. It means that I can spend more time and effort on my blog, and YouTube channel. I've already planned a photoshoot tomorrow which I'm really excited about!
Today I thought I'd share with you my summer bucketlist. I started this a while ago, and just occasionally add random ones onto the end, so to celebrate the beginning of summer I thought I'd share it with you!
1. Have a water fight. This is kind of a childhood tradition of mine to have a water fight with all my friends. I thought you could take cool pictures with it too.
2. Take loads of pictures, at least one everyday. I really want to document my summer so I don't forget it. That links to the next one.
3. Keep a summer scrapbook/journal.
4. Movie marathons with my friends.
5. Have a paint fight. Not a wet one, just a dry one. This looks AMAZING on pictures.
6. Make someone smile. Cheesy, I know but it brightens my day.
7. Stay positive. I don't want to waste my summer feeling down.
8. Tie dye lots! I want to buy loads of white cheap clothes from Primark and then tie dye then all.
9. Meet new people. I want to broaden my friends list, whether that's other bloggers or YouTuber's or just other people.
10. Shop a lot. I normally do this anyway because my birthday is in summer so I usually have money.
11. Go ice-skating. I love ice-skating.
12. Have barbecues. Just chilled out days with my friends.
13. Go to a concert. This probably won't happen because I don't have any tickets but I can wish can't I?
14. Redecorate my room. My room has been the same since I was little so I want to gradually change some things around.
15. Go to the beach. I love the beach so much but we don't particularly live close to one.
16. Start vlogging. Planning to start that soon.
17. Go to the zoo. Love the zoo.
18. Go to London for the day/night with friends, and go to covent gardens.
19. Make a rainbow cake, I mean who doesn't?
20. Go camping with all my friends.
21. Make more music videos.
22. Make a huge daisy chain.

So this is my summer bucketlist. I just add things as they come to me, and I know it's not possible to do all of these, it's just things that I'd love to do.
Do you have a summer bucketlist or a life bucketlist?

DIY Denim!

Hey Guys!
So when I went to get changed today I put a pair of denim jeans on that had gotten a hole in them quite a while ago. The hole wasn't particularly big but over time it's gotten bigger and bigger, so now it just looks like it's gaping, and looks a bit trampy so I decided to make them into shorts. I really wanted a pair of denim shorts for the summer, so I thought why not save some money and make them myself. I've made shorts from pants before so I thought I'd just show you how I did it :)
So from these jeans.....

to these funky denim shorts.

So if you would like to see the transformation just keep reading :)

To start the only things you'll need are:
A pair of scissors
And some chalk (optional but it just helps)

The first thing you need to do with lay your jeans out flat on the floor facing up. Then this is optional but I don't like cutting the whole leg off at once so I fold the jean leg up at the knee so it creases and then I draw a line with my chalk where I want to cut it.

and then this is the result. You could always leave the jeans like this with the 3/4 length. It's great for summer, and they're really fun to wear with a pair of dolly shoes or converse.

The next thing you need to do, preferably when you have the jeans on, is mark where you want to cut the leg off at. I recommend doing it a little bit longer than you want them to be, because you can always trim them to the proper length you want later on. Just mark the length you want with some chalk or a pencil.

And then you can take them off and draw a line the whole way across the leg. Then start to cut the leg across the line. It doesn't have to be especially neat because you can always trim them neater later on.
So after you've cut the front of the jeans, turn them over so they're face down and carry on with the same line along the back. If it helps draw the line in chalk first like I have done.

And then just trim the edges to make sure they look neat.
After you've done this, do exactly the same with the other leg, making sure the leg lengths stay the same. If you trim one side a little bit, make sure you trim the other side the same amount so they look even.
Eventually they should look something like this:

But as you can see from the second picture, the bottom of my shorts at the back is longer than the front so I took them off again and trimmed them down. I kept repeating this, trying them on for size, and then taking them off and trimming away some of the length until they were the size I wanted them to be. Eventually I got them the way I wanted them.

And finally, to finish them off I didn't want the bottom of my shorts to be straight, because they obviously look cut so I started to fray the bottoms. To fray the shorts I just picked at the white threading at the bottom, so it came out of place. This left the ends of the blue threads on their own, which made them look fuzzy. I carried on doing this all the way round the bottom of the shorts and got this effect:

You don't have to do this but I think it makes the shorts look a whole look better.

And there you have it, brand new looking shorts. These shorts are perfect for the summer or because the weather here in the UK is still FREEZING you can always pair them with some tights and a long sleeved tee. I can't wait to wear these and take them on my holidays, where I can wear over my bikini by the pool or on the beach. I'm getting way too excited!

So I hoped this helped if you were making your own shorts, and if you did, let me know how they went. But if you were just reading this for inspiration, I hope they inspired you to create your own. You don't even need a nice pair of jeans. I've used a cheap pair from a charity shop before or even hand me down clothes are perfect, you don't need to spend loads on a pair of jeans just to cut them up. I've had these jeans for years and I think they are finally worn, but not anymore! I can get loads more wears out of these shorts now!
Hope you like them,
Stay Happy,
Sarah
