New Autumn Beginnings!

So it's been a while!! Actually it's been over a month! So disgraceful of me and I'm actually ashamed because I've had so many things happen in my life.
Obviously I'm still settling into my university environment so that's taken a while to get used to, my schedule and living alone but I think I'm getting the hang of it.
I also feel as though I've sort of had an epiphany this week. I feel refreshed and like I can achieve anything. Blog and video ideas have been spurting out of my head so quickly I've hardly had time to write them all down. I feel as though I needed a small break from my blog and YouTube because I'd run out of ideas and lots of things got in the way. I had a few off weeks where I stayed in bed for most of it due to my anxiety and a horrible cold and I also started seeing someone so I spent most of my time with them.
But now I've been able to divide my time between my work and my hobby because I'm so determined not to give this up! Because I enjoy doing it so much. And yes I have a lot of work due soon but I think it's possible to balance my work and my relaxing time very well.

So I am back on the scene so you'd better watch out for more blog posts and videos to be up soon because I'm so excited to get back into it!

Also if you have any promoting tips for my blog and YouTube, I'd be very grateful for your help!

As always, Stay Happy

Would you rather?!

I can't believe it's almost been a month since I last wrote a blog post! I'm so ashamed!
I have been pretty busy though, spending lots of time with my friends and family whilst I can, before I go to university at the end of September.
I also obviously had results day where I luckily got enough points to get into my first University of my choice which is Edge Hill University doing Film and TV Production. Then the day after I had V Festival in Staffordshire which was amazing.
YouTube Catchup-

So I thought I'd get back into the swing of things by starting with a tag from another blogger. I recently read the Would You Rather- Beauty Edition Tag over on Touch Of Belle (Touch Of Belle) and I thought I would answer the questions myself!

1) Would You Rather... Lose all of your mascara, eyeliners, lipsticks and lipglosses or lose all of your palettes and eyeshadows?
I would definitely rather lose all of my palettes and eyeshadows! I don't think I could live without my mascaras and lipsticks!

2) Would You Rather... Chop off all your hair or never be able to cut it again?
That's easy! I would much rather never be able to cut my hair again. I want my hair really long any ways so that's sounds great to me!
3) Would You Rather... Have a coral cheek or a pink cheek?
I would rather have a coral cheek. I don't think I suit pink as well as coral but I think it's still hard to find a nice coral colour.

4) Would You Rather... Have £1000 to spend all on clothes or all on make up?
This was a bit difficult but after thinking it over I would definitely rather spend it on clothes. As much as I love make-up I would just be able to buy all the clothes I wanted and that makes me happy!

5) Would You Rather... Apply lipstick as eyeliner or eyeliner as lipstick?
Definitely apply eyeliner as lipstick. You can find pretty much any colour eyeliner so it wouldn't be too bad.
6) Would You Rather...Only shop at MAC or Sephora?
It would have to be MAC. I just adore their lipsticks too much!

7) Would You Rather... Only use one eyeshadow or one lip colour for rest of your life?
Well I live for different lipsticks so it would have to be only use one eyeshadow.

8) Would You Rather... Wear winter clothes in summer or summer clothes in winter?
I pretty much wear all my summer clothes in winter anyways, just with tights or jumpers over the top so I would have to choose that.

9) Would You Rather... Have dark nails or bright nails all year round?
Easily bright nails! I think they brighten up a whole outfit no matter what the season is!
10) Would You Rather... Give up your favourite lip product or favourite eye product?
I'd rather give up my favourite eye product because I really wouldn't be able to give up my favourite MAC lipstick!

11) Would You Rather... Only be able to wear your hair in a ponytail or a messy bun?
I wear my hair in a messy bun like a lot these days but I'm going to have to say a ponytail because I'm really not good at doing messy buns and it frustrates me when it all falls out! I'd rather keep it simple with a ponytail.
12) Would You Rather... Never be able to paint your nails again or never use lip gloss?
I can't even remember the last time I wore lipgloss so I would rather never use that again because I live for painting my nails!

13) Would You Rather... Shave eyebrows and have none at all or sharpie them in each day?
I would have to sharpie them in, but not very much. I think I would look absolutely ridiculous without eyebrows!

14) Would You Rather... Live without make up or nail polish?
As much as I love my nail polishes I wouldn't be able to live without my make-up so I'm going to have to say live without nail polish unfortunately :(

So that's the end of the tag and I want to tag you lovely lot who read this because I think this is a good way to get to know a blog owner better! Comment if you do this tag too so I can see if any of our answers are the same!

Stay Happy

Bloggers Do Collections Better!

So I thought about what would be my biggest collection that I have and without a shadow of a doubt, it's my nail polish collection. I used to be massively into nail art and bought a couple of nail polishes a week. I'm less into it now because of time but I'm still pretty proud of my nail varnish collection. But instead of going through all of my nail varnishes I just chose the biggest brand that I have which is Barry M. I fall in love with Barry M colours and the consistency and drying time is amazing for the price that they are. So I've split them up a bit and I'll go through them now.

Firstly are the special polishes that I have. Going from left to right, the first one is the crackle nail effect that I bought ages ago. I don't use this as much now but I still think it's a really interesting effect for your nails.
Next is the Amethyst Glitter varnish. It has different flecks of lots of different coloured glitters and over a coloured nail varnish, this looks amazing.
Next is the Silvery Lilac. This colour is iridescent so it looks completely different in different lights. There's also tiny pieces of glitter in there too which makes it glitter even more.
Next is one of my favourites which is the Teal one. This is really shiny and I absolutely love the turquoise colour of it. It looks amazing with a tan.
Next is the Limited Edition colour 340. This is a gold colour that has long rectangular pieces of gold glitter in which makes it a really interesting nail polish. I haven't tried this yet because I got it recently bit I can't wait to.
Next is the Yellow Topaz Glitter and it's simply just chunks of gold glitter. It looks amazing over black nail varnish for that added sparkle and you can put as much or as less as you want on.
Next is the Black Multi-Glitter nail polish which is simple a black polish with flecks on glitter in it. It's so simple but really effective with any outfit.
And lastly is the Nail Effects in silver which is just a metallic silver that looks amazing on nails and I can't wait to use it when I have a tan.

Next is just some random colours. The first is Cyan Blue and it's a really nice bright blue. The next is just a simple clear coat but it's easily one of the best ones I've ever bought. This is my go-to nail polish because it dries so quickly. Next is just a simple black and again it's go-to black because of the colour quality and how quickly it dries.
Next is Block Orange which is just a really bright orange that looks amazing on holiday. And next is a bright pink called Pink Flamingo which is the same as the orange and looks amazing on holiday. And lastly is just a simple white but it's a must have this summer because of the price and quality of product.

But this set is definitely my favourite. The first one is pastel yellow called Lemon. I'm really into pastels at the moment and this is the perfect pale yellow. Next is the Gelly Hi-Shine in Dragon which is just a really pale pink. And next is the Gelly Hi-Shine in Papaya which is my newest and most favourite colour at the moment. It's a kind of pale peach colour that I'm obsessed with in the sun. And next is my other favourite and it's the Gelly Hi-Shine in Greenberry. It looks amazing with a tan and I'm loving the mint green colour this summer. And the next is Coral which is a really bright colour. And lastly is the colour Berry which is a pastel purple. As you can see I'm into pastels a lot this summer!

So that's my collection post for this weeks #bloggersdoitbetter and I hope you enjoyed it!

Bloggers Do Sunshine Better!

I'm so late with this post because I had two exams this Monday and Tuesday so I was cramming in as much revision as possible! I decided to do something different with this weeks post and link it in with my YouTube Channel JustSarahsVlogs.
So this this week I've done a video about how you can make this really easy summer t-shirt from an old one lying around (I know you all have one!)

So if you want to check the video out, here it is!

Week 3: Brights VS Neutrals

Welcome to the 3rd week of the #BloggersDoItBetter Challenge! This week's topic is Bloggers do Bright and Neutral better, and I'll have to be honest I panicked a lot at this because I had no idea to write about. I don't really think of things as bright or neutral but now I've thought about it I have things that are similar but in different colours. So this week is going to be Bright VS Neutral with some of my things.

The first one is lipsticks. This was difficult for me because I really LOVE a bright lip, I think it makes the whole look come together. I also usually wear monochrome clothes so a bright lip adds a great pop of colour to an outfit. So it was hard to choose between my favourite bright lip but at the minute it's the Maybelline Color Sensational in the colour Shocking Coral.

It's such an amazing colour and I'm never usually into pinks but this is more of a coral colour so I thought I'd give it a go. It's also really pigmented, the swatch is only one stripe of the lipstick and it stays on for ages (it's actually really hard to get off!)
So the VS Neutral product is also a Maybelline Colorsensational Popstick in the colour Tropical Pink. The colours look really similar but this one is actually see through when you look at it. I go on about this lipstick so much but it's because it's more of a tint than anything else which is why I think it's more neutral than the one above.

As you can see from this swatch it's barely even there but it leaves a really nice hint of pink on your lips. I wear this a lot more casually rather than on a night out but it does last ages.

The next item is heels. I've only really recently become slightly obsessed with heels but it wasn't too difficult to find a bright and a neutral.

These bright red shoes are probably my favourite heels ever. They weren't expensive at all and the colour is so stunning. They're also the comfiest heels I've ever had because the platform is so big that your foot isn't actually bent that much. These also match most of the monochrome clothes that I wear on a night out.

And then I found these heels tucked away in my wardrobe. I think I got given these as a hand me down but they're originally from Miss Selfridge. Even though it doesn't look it, these are pretty tall but they're still really comfy. They're a lovely nude colour with cute little bows on the front.

The last thing I found were these swing tops. For the bright one I used a top that I've bought recently from Select. It was only £6 and the material is a really thin top in mint green. I'm completely obsessed with this colour for spring and this is probably one of the brightest pieces of clothing that I own. I'm so pleased with this purchase.

And compared to this I found a similar style top but this one is black velvet instead. I've worn this top so many times because it's so easy to pair with everything and it's easy to wear casually or on a night out. It was so inexpensive and worth the price for all the times I've worn it and it's become a staple piece in my wardrobe.

So those are my Bright VS Neutral products. I've realised that you will always need the neutrals in your wardrobe to match all the bright things you buy and vice versa. I can't wait to have more bright pieces of clothes though for spring and summer because I feel I don't have enough. I'll have to venture out to orange, pink and maybe even yellow!

Do you prefer brights or neutrals?

Vogue's Manchester Fashion Night Out!

So yesterday I went to Vogue's Fashion Night Out which has moved to Manchester. I had to get the bus straight from college to Manchester with my friends and was amazed at how good this event was. There were things to do everywhere. We wandered into H&M and saw Pixie Geldof DJing which was cool.
In the Arndale there was a catwalk with conveyor belts on and every twenty minutes models/dancers came out and showcased different shops A/W13 trends.
There will be videos in my vlog that will be up soon!
We also went into Selfridges which was packed with loads of different people. There was free popcorn, crepes, vodka snowcones etc...
Then we saw Eliza Doolittle DJing and she was really good! Whilst looking at Chanel makeup we got tempted into Fake Bake to have free manicures!
After that we made our way to the Boohoo pink double decker bus! There was the A/W13 range of clothes downstairs and then a bar and food upstairs. Also if you instagrammed a picture and tagged it #needinmylife then they printed it out as a Polaroid!
We then ventured into Boots where they were doing demonstrations and I bought a Sleek blusher in the colour Rose Gold which I've wanted to purchase for ages!
We then went back into the Arndale and watched more shows because the male models were pretty beautiful :) and the clothes were amazing! We also went to superdrug and I bought my first MUA palette (undressed 2 I think).
All in all it was an amazing night and I loved being around people that shared the same interest in fashion as me. There was loads going on and I'm glad it came to Manchester this year!

Outfit a day- Holiday version

So as you all know I came back off my holidays a few days ago. I had an amazing time and there will definitely be more posts about what I did there. But I decided to take a picture of each outfit that I wore that night to show you all my holiday clothes and outfits. So this is the first seven!
This was the first day. I was pretty tired so I didn't do much with my hair or make-up, I just put my hair in a bun and applied some mascara. I wore a new white cropped boyfriend top from Primark and a long black maxi skirt from Shout. I also wore some white sandals from George.

On the second day I wore this new maxi skirt I'd bought before I came from Shout and it soon became my favourite piece. It's so nice and floaty, with a short skirt underneath. I paired it with a cropped grey top which I can't remember where I got it from..... I also wore a pair of black Toms underneath.

On the third day I wore my hair half up, half down, and my make-up was a subtle smokey eye with red lipstick. I wore the denim shorts that I made and a cropped lace top from Shout.I also wore my trusted converse and a pair of white Rayberries.( Can't afford real ones....)

On the fourth day I wore my DIY green top, with the bows on the back, with a pair of short shorts from New Look. I also wore my white converse.

On the fifth day I sprayed salt spray in my hair after I'd gotten out of the pool and let it dry naturally wavy. I then pinned up some parts of it. I wore a dress that I'd gotten as a hand me down, and my converse.

On the sixth day I wore my white cropped boyfriend top from Primark again and a pair of tied denim shorts from New Look. I also wore some red Rayberries and my white converse I got from Office.

On the seventh day I wore my grey cropped top again and my denim skirt from Topshop. I paired it with my converse and red Rayberries.

So in the next couple of days the second weeks outfits will be on :)

Make-up Haul

Because it's been my birthday recently I thought I'd go shopping with some of the money I got.
I bought this blusher from a shop in a market in town. It's a really cheap make-up stall with loads of high street brands for lower prices. I got this Bourjour Paris blush in the colour 35 Lune D'or. I think this was £3.50 which is cheaper than it's high street price. It's a really pretty iridescent pale pink colour with flecks of gold in it.

From the same stall I also got this w7 powder brush. It's really soft and good at applying powder. I can't remember how much it was but it was definitely under £3.00 which I think is well worth it.

I also got this Lipstick/lipbalm, which I already have one of. I already have Maybelline Colour Sensational in 910 Shocking Coral. This lipstick is more dense and colour pigmented. This one I've just bought was under £4.00 and it's more of a balm. Its the Maybelline Colour Sensational in 020 Tropical Pink and it's a very suble lip tint that stays on for ages.
The last things I bought were concealers. I bought a Bourjouis Paris illuminater for under my eyes for £3.00 and a w7 concealer stick for blemishes which was under £4.00.

After this I went to superdrug and saw this pink Barry M. I fell in love with it immediately. It's a very pretty baby pink in the Gelly Hi-Shine collection. It's called Dragon and it was £3.99 which is fab. I'll definitely be trying this out in summer!

Because I've just been on holiday my face is more tanned than normal and the foundation I have is too pale for my skin so I bought this foundation. It's the Rimmel Wake Me Up foundation that so many people have told me to buy next. It was £8.99 and mine is in the colour Natural Beige. I love this already and it doesn't feel too heavy on the skin.

30 Day Snap #17

I can't believe it's past the middle of June! It's gone so quick already!
Today I had college and it really tired me out :( I also had my second cervical cancer jab too which makes my arm hurt. So not good day really.

This is my picture for the day. I wanted to show off my nail varnish because I love it so much. It's a w7 Matt Green one and it's amazing. Doesn't take too long to dry and the colour is bright.
I also am playing my brother's Xbox because I miss him loads :(

30 Day Snap #15

Today I went to my first University open day at Edge Hill. I loved it immediately and I was really impressed. They were organised, trustworthy and really fun. I love the accommodation and the course is perfect for me. I wonder if the others live up to that standard?

30 Day Snap #13 & #14

So sorry that I'm two days behind on my June Challenge. I've literally been doing college then coming home, eating and then going to sleep. Not very interesting. To make up for these past days I'll show you two pictures I took on my holidays last year. It's only three weeks until my next one :)
Sorry again and I'll make sure I try and post them daily now.

30 Day Snap #11 & #12

I've been so busy lately that I haven't been keeping up with these snaps! Yesterday I got locked out my house for THREE hours :( and I have a bunch of homework.
So these pictures won't be from today or yesterday but they are pictures I have taken recently.

Both of these pictures are edited from my recent trip to London. It was my first time in London and I absolutely loved it, so will definitely be back soon.
Sorry for the pictures, they will get better!
