John Green Madness!!

Recently I got a gift card for WHSmith for £15 and its bad how excited I got that I could buy new books. I had loads to choose from but when I got there I saw that all John Green books were on offer as buy one get one free so I knew I had to get them. I also had a £5 off your next shop for there too so in the end I only paid £4 of my own money for all four of these books.
I'd wanted these books for ages and so now I finally have them to read.
The first one is An Abundance Of Katherines and this is the blurb:
When it comes to relationships, Colin Singleton's type is girls named Katherine. And when it comes to girls named Katherine, Colin is always getting dumped. Nineteen times, to be exact. On a road trip miles from home, this anagram-happy, washed-up child prodigy has ten thousand dollars in his pocket, a bloodthirsty feral hog on his trail, and an overweight Judge Judy - loving best friend riding shotgun - but no Katherines. Colin is on a mission to prove The Theorem of Underlying Katherine Predictability, which he hopes will predict the future of any relationship, avenge Dumpees everywhere, and finally win him the girl.
I think this book will be interesting because I've never heard anything like this before and I think it's a different story. Also it's written from a guys point of view which is different to my usual reading genre.

Next is Looking For Alaska:
“In the dark beside me, she smelled of sweat and sunshine and vanilla and on that thin-mooned night I could see little more than her silhouette, but even in the dark, I could see her eyes – fierce emeralds. And not just beautiful, but hot too.”
BEFORE. Miles Halter’s whole life has been one big non-event until he starts at anything-but-boring Culver Creek Boarding School and meets Alaska Young. Gorgeous, clever, funny, sexy, screwed up and utterly fascinating she pulls Miles into her world, launches him into a new life, and steals his heart. But when tragedy strikes, and Miles comes face-to-face with death he discovers the value of living and loving unconditionally.
AFTER: Nothing will ever be the same.
I think the fact that it says 'when tragedy strikes' makes me want to read this book because I want to know what happens. A good sign of a cliffhanger.
Next is Will Grayson, Will Grayson:
One cold night, in a most unlikely corner of Chicago, Will Grayson crosses paths with . . . Will Grayson. Two guys with the same name, running in two very different circles, suddenly find their lives going in new and unexpected directions, and culminating in epic turns-of-heart and the most fabulous musical ever to grace the high-school stage.
I think this is one of the books I'm most excited for. I'm not sure why but I just think it's a good idea for a story and can't wait to read it.
And lastly is Paper Towns:
Quentin Jacobsen has always loved Margo Roth Spiegelman, for Margo (and her adventures) are the stuff of legend at their high school. So when she one day climbs through his window and summons him on an all-night road trip of revenge he cannot help but follow.
But the next day Margo doesn't come to school and a week later she is still missing. Q soon learns that there are clues in her disappearance . . . and they are for him. But as he gets deeper into the mystery - culminating in another awesome road trip across America - he becomes less sure of who and what he is looking for.
The reason I got this one was because I knew that they were turning it into a film with Cara Delevigne and Nat Wolff and I'm so excited for the film so I wanted to read the book first. I've started reading this and I'm really enjoying it already.

I'm really excited to get through all of these books because I loved the Fault In Our Stars and I love John Green's writing style.
Let me know if you've read any of his books but obviously don't tell me any spoilers because I haven't read them yet!!

Christmas Presents and Winter Sales

So Christmas had been and gone so I thought I'd show you what I got for Christmas this year!
(This is in no shape or form me bragging about what I got but I just want to show some of my favourites)
I've also thrown in some of the things I've bought over the holidays too, although I haven't been shopping much.

So firstly I got this set of 10 Revlon Top Speed nail varnishes. I thought when I first saw these that they were an odd mix of colours as they didn't really match but I love them all individually. I think my favourites are the far right one called Royal Blue, the one next to that called Cloud and the one fourth from the right called Mistletoe. Most of these varnishes are glittery and I can't wait to use them all!

I also got some more nail varnishes from No7 in a set called Fingers and Toes. I can't wait to use all these pretty colours.

And finally I got this Barry M nail varnish which as you know is my favourite brand. This is one of the special ones with like metallic strips inside. I think this will look nice to spruce up a plain colour.

I bought these shoes in Tescos of all places! I never usually thought that Tescos would sell things like these but when I was mooching around the sale items a size 7 caught my eye and I was gutted that I couldn't find any others. But I kept looking and finally found the last pair which were luckily a size 6. They were originally £22 but I managed to bag them for only £7! Major bargain!

I actually bought this 'hat' in London before Christmas. I'd always wanted one and when I saw this one I knew I had to buy it. It keeps my head so warm and matches all of my clothes.

I got this perfume for Christmas too which is the Katy Perry Killer Queen one. I had the Lady Gaga Fame last year and absolutely loved it but I wanted something else. This isn't fruity or sweet, it's quite musky and 'sexy' if anything, and I absolutely ADORE the pretty bottle! It also wasn't expensive.

My mum bought me this book and I can't wait to get started on it when I have time!

I was probably mostly excited about the Real Techniques set that I also got. I'd been nagging my mum for it for ages but I didn't expect her to get a full set, only one brush. They're dirty already too because I've been using them non-stop but they're just so soft. Really good at applying make-up and I highly recommend them.
I also got these two MUA palettes. I think everyone knows that I've kind of started collecting them now but they are just so good. The colour pigment is amazing compared to the price of £4-6 which is insane for 12 pigments. I have many different ones now, mostly neutral so I was happy to get the bright sparkly one.

You can never have Christmas without the body lotions and scrubs. I got a Gok Wan set with a body wash, shower scrub and body lotion. I also got from the No7 set Softening Foot Balm and Revitalizing Hand Saviour. And then my best friend got me the chocolate and vanilla hand lotion which smells amazing!

I also happened to get two onesies. A red and cream candy cane style one and a Primark dinosaur one that matches my brothers!

I bought this playsuit today from Liverpool. It's a really pale blue colour which I didn't think would suit me because of my hair but I think it looks quite nice. The back ties up aswel which made me love it even more. It's also the first playsuit I've ever owned. And I have a feeling that this pale blue is going to be very in style in spring and summer.

This book is absolutely amazing. Written by two sisters, they list millions of different inspiration and ideas that can help you in your photography. I've been in a bit of a rut lately with my photography so this book has been great at helping me out with my ideas.

I also got other bits and bobs like hair stuff, scarves and a new hairdryer which I'm grateful for. With my money that I got too I'm going to buy two softbox lights so that I can make my videos a lot better with amazing lighting!

I love seeing what people got for Christmas and I hope everyone got what they wanted!

30 Day Snap....

I apologise again for lack of pictures recently. I've realised I'm not cut out to doing a picture a day. So to make up for it, I've taken enough pictures that will cover the days I have missed. Warning, it will probably be quite long.

#18
Today I bought a new skincare routine. I have quite dry/sensitive skin, so I seem to use a lot of moisteriser. I've already got the Simple Facial Toner, which I use to clean my face, and I've just got the Simple Facial Wash that I can use in the shower and some mornings, and the Simple Rich Moisteriser, which I've read is good for dry skin. I like Simple because it isn't too expensive and easy to find.

#19
Recently I've ran out of Lady Gaga's perfume which was definitely my favourite, I thought I would find a new one. My nan gave my mum this Daisy by Marc Jacobs and I fell in love with it immediately, so it's my new favourite now!

#20
I've been to loads of Open Days lately.

#21
I've also been reading ALL of these books! I'm on the last one right now.

#22
Just bought these as my holiday books! Hopefully they're good reads.

#23
My brother bought some new speakers so he gave me his old ones. They're pretty cool!

#24
I spent most of my time cleaning my room too. I thought I'd show you what covers my walls. This is about half of my room, walls and ceiling covered in magazine cutouts. It took me a while but I love it!

#25
I bought this new heat protect stuff from my local hairdressers. Hopefully it works!

#26
Barry M Gelly nail varnish in Greenberry. I love this nail varnish, and the colour is amazing!

#27
I lost this ages ago, and from tidying my room, I've found it again. It's a travel size perfume bottle that you can put any perfume into. It's light, and small enough for your bag, but holds enough perfume. It's a shame I didn't find it before the end of the college year, it would've come in handy.

#28
I have also recently started snacking on these biscuit bars. I needed a healthier option than a chocolate biscuit and so I found these. I love anything strawberry and these bars are perfect to snack on in college.

So I'm sorry it's been a while again. I'll make sure to keep up to date for these last few days.
